Even though Jessa never aspired to be a singer, she's not shy. As a former Pro-rodeo cowgirl, she got her singing experience in bars and dancehalls all over the Western United States. She has the voice of a angel but the devil's own temper, and her years on the rodeo circuit have stood her in good stead when it comes to dealing with, what I affectioately refer to as, ornery customers.

Jessa met Zack via the internet, but they're not the only couple in the family to meet via the world wide web. They live on the family ranch with Zack's son, Travis and their baby daughter, Jessica Hope.

Musically, Jessa favors female singer-songwriters: Patty Loveless, Matricia Berg, Sheryl Crow, Pam Tillis, Aretha Franklin, Pink (I asked, Jessa says this is correct *shrug*), and Alanis Morissette (don't ask).
